New to site and Bushmaster--How did I do??

I bought a new standard Bushmaster 20" from a family friend who is a personal dealer a year ago. He charged me 700$, and said he was hooking me up. I think he was telling the truth looking at sites online etc... , but you never know. What do you think and any advice on optics(probably EOTECH after talking to local guys)appreciated in advance. i gotta xm15e2s and love it you did good i paid 850 for mine but see them at gun shows for 700-750
