Went to the Portland show and was looking for some.. and this guy selling tac slings had an aimpoint on his rifle.. and I was like.. "this may sound like a really wierd question.. but can I look through your aimpoint?" .. he was stunned for a sec.. then like... "yea sure"... after i looked through it... was awesome.. crystal clear.. and the dot was clearly visible.. .. afterwords I explained i'd never seen one in person and had been interested for quite some time.... so he laughed and understood..... we got to talking about em.. nice guy
BUT.. after seeing the eotechs there..... sorry... just... not my cup of tea ;) :D They look so bulky.. and..... huge....... aimpoint just looks like a better platform..

Welcome to Epis Aimpoint legion! :lool:
Anyway, glad you like the aimpoint. If you can afford it, get the ARMS throw lever mount. SOO much better than any mount with a thumbscrew. GURANTEED for an EXACT zero every time you mount and dismout. I have to say they aint lying. Since it uses the same pressure every time to mount it, as long as its in the same rail slot you mounted it in it will repeat zero, unlike those stupid variable force thumb nuts.
Another thing. If you have noticed the troops in the sand box take their lens covers off. At first I thought "the glass will get all dinged up" but mine hasnt yet. I see now they took em off cuz those damn rubber covers block alot of your periferial vision.
Also, be CAREFUL when you clean the lenses. That red coating is kinda sensitive and even if you use a dry soft cloth you can still leave lines. I just spray mine with water to get the dust off and then let it air dry. You may thin that the water spots would screw up your vision, but you cant even see em when you use it.
Hope you like it when you get it!

I'm gonna get a Comp C.. same stats as an ML2 and M2... and about 100$ cheaper.. just isn't nearly indestructable.. only waterproof to 7 meters... black body instead of green and no lens caps... same dimensions.. same look.. just.. vanilla :)

Epi you can add another soldier to your Aimpoint Legoin. :D I was at the show with Jordan and I looked through the same Aimpoint. Actually I did it first and then told him about it. :D Anyway, after that life changing experience I saw the Eotechs.. FRIGGIN HUGE buggers.. NO way im putting that on my petite m4. Although I do have to say that everything looked bigger at the show. Must be because all ive been looking at for months is pics on the net. But Im sold as well on the Aimpoint. But if someone wants to GIVE me an Eotech Id gladly accept. :D

Nothing wrong with an Aimpoint!
But sorry, this don't look huge to me.

Plus, if I want to look "though" something, I want a nice window. As I've said before, the proof is in the pudding when engaging multiple targets at less than 50 yards! Just ask the "elite!" ;)
BTW, were you guys looking through the Aimpoint with both eyes open, or like a traditional scope?

I dont remember what I did. Actually, I prolly just looked thru with 1 eye.. Damn it..
Crap, I dont know. I flip flop on this issue more then John Kerry.:D
Maybe Ill go the cheaper route and get an EOTEch first.. cuz If I get an aimpoint, ill still need a mount.. so tack on another 100... its Jordan's fault I cant make up my mind. He talks me in and out of everything.

By the way, it's my goal to make your decision a hard one! :)
...and I do love Aimpoints by the way. They're just not my first choice on a "carbine!" ;)
Kids will be kids... ;)

not helping 308 lol...
Dale... AIMPOINT!!!....
and I looked with both eyes open RJ... in fact my left eye was actually a lazy eye at a young age.. now corrected... but.. its to the point where I normally shoot with both eyes open unless focusing for a really long shot..... and I shoot the same.. cus.. the left eye adds peripheral without effecting my dominant eye..
and btw.. it aint how wide it is.. its how you use it :D..
