better quality dale.. though I still dont trust anything polymer unless it was one of those new XM8 mags
Alluminum may be weak, but it dont rust, its light and the mags are abundant and cheap...

supposedly "new and improved" .....HK mags have good seems and structure
plastic also cracks with excessive use and breaks..... orlites have really pisspoor seems that will crack... or with excessive spring tension... or loading and unloading.. they'll just break... but shit I've seen em go for like 4$ a pop on gunbroker now... for that price.. couldn't beat to pick up a few for some trash range mags..

In the mid 80's, we T&E'd the Thermold 45/30 mags (you know, the ones that could be stored with the baseplate extended, or loaded to 45 rounds). After about 2 weeks on the range with them, we renamed them Turdmold. The Canadians adopted them. The Canadians have now dumped them. They're shit. I'm glad they're gone, and hope if we ever go to war, our enemys are armed with Turdmolds...
