This is my first AR. I am an AK enthusiast but I have always wanted an AR. I thought that with the ban over I can pick up a post ban for a decent price.

It was slightly used, but when I broke it down I did not see any signs of it being fired. I do not like the collapsable stock so when I get a buffer tube for the butt I am going to sell it.

Very Nice Bush!!! I really like the Bushmasters and I'm working on getting my 4th one in the next week or so.

If you wan't to get rid of the collapsible stock let me know.

I just do not like the collapsable stock for looks or function. Matty I will send you a pm on the stock.

I would like to find a cheap bushmaster upper in 20' postban and have it threaded for a birdcage. I figured that there would be a lot for sale since the ban ended but I have not seen that many yet. Maybe when the new Bushy's are out in evil form they will pop up more. Truth be told when I moved out of my parents house the first thing on my list was to get a good gun. At the time I wanted and AR but could not afford one so I got an AK and got hooked. I am an assult weapons lover, I just can not afford an HK 53 or and AUG right now.

Ahh, the first bush. Who can forget it? I remember that cold winter when I saw my first bush. Then later that winter I actually got to do more than look at it... :naughty:

Oh wait, you talking about BUSHmaster firearms.. my bad.. :D Was a good trip down memory lane nonetheless. :D

How could you!??? Get yourself another AR man.. you'll love it... AK's cant even compare to an AR when it comes to smoothness of shooting, consistency, and overall quality....

I have shot plenty of AR's, I have owned a whole bunch of AK's. I love my AK's better. I plan on owning a Rem.700 all decked out one day for my sharpshooter.

Nice weapon. My wife and I currently own 3 Bushmaster's, 16"AKshorty,20"heavy, and a 24" fluted Varminter. All are very fun and very acurate to shoot. Good luck and happy shooting.

Owen80, I am a little like you in that I like to shoot the AK over the AR. Cannot say exactly why; similar but different. Was the AR's stock a lot shorter than an AK's or not?

I never shot it, it is long gone and been replaced with several AK's. I like shooting an AR just really not excited about owning one.

i guess you could pick up 2(or even 3 if you really looked around) AK's for the price of one AR. however, i wouldnt trade my AR for 3 AK's. not even the sar 1, 2 &3 series..... :D maybe its because i own 3 rommi ak's already but im leaning more towards the fact that im able to tag pretty much whatever she's aimed at and THAT keeps me taking her to the range every single time....

I too own an AK, but I love the AR far more. Wouldn't trade my AR for 10 AK's.

Glad to see you posting on the AR15 side of Gunsnet. Hope you stick around. Good group of guys over here to talk to and learn from.
