I can't figure out how to get this darn thing off of the lower reciever, I have already taken out the buffer spring but now I am stuck. It seems as though the stock should just unscrew from the back of the reciever but it will not budge one inch. Can somebody please give me instructions on how to do this, this is my first AR and I have no idea what I am doing.

Thanks

it didn't budge yet!!! Look on the butt pad, you will find two screws. Remove the top screw. The stock will slide off the buffer tube. There is an adapter (spacer really) between the rear of the stock and the tube, just pull it off. Watch out for the spring and rear pin detent held in by the stock, don't lose them. Now using the correct size wrench or a 10" cresent wrench on the two flat sides at the end of the tube unscrew it. Again, the tube hold's in the detent for the buffer, as you unscrew it, don't lose the detent and spring. It has a normal right hand thread. It is best to have the action in a vice with an action block, but if you are careful you can get by without one. Let us know how it goes. ;)
