A few months ago at work we replaced our Bushmaster AR's with Colt M4's. When we made the change we also got Surefire tactical handguard lights. This model features the walking light as well as the white light. The first problem that we ran into was the handguards would not fit right side up if we used the GGG scope mount rails that were purchased to mount Trijicon ACOG Reflex scopes on. The other problem is the plastic parts of the handguards cracking. All the way from hairline cracks to cracked beyond use. We used the Bushmasters for over four years without any cracked handguards that I am aware of. It is over my pay scale on what if anything Surefire is going to do about the problem of the cracks. We were told that modifing the handguards to make them fit properly with the scope mounts would void the warranty however using them upside down would not. So I am hopeful that that they will be replaced.
