I ordered a couple FAL receivers from FAC recently and added a stripped DPMS forged AR15 receiver to the order as well. Any comments on them?

One of my 2 AR's has a DPMS forged lower. THey sure look nice and have a great finish. BUT, and this is a huge but.. They are out of spec, or atleast mine was. Super sloppy fit to my FN made J&T upper as well as the RRA lower parts kit i put in there. My bolt catch has too much room to wiggle side to side and will prolly bend eventually, my trigger guard rattled big time before I put a gapper in there. Roll pins went in a little too easy, selector has lots of play but it does function(not like the crisp swinging/locking one in my RRA lower. Aside from that its great. :(

I thought DPMS was the military contractor?
I hope mine's not that bad; I'll find out in a day or two. I'll let everyone know about it, good or bad.

Hmmmm? That doesn't sound too good. Well, I managed to make a Century FAL receiver build work. Maybe I'll have as good a luck with this one.

The DPMS lowers I have seen, seem to have more play in the upper/lower fit area than other AR's.

Looks like it's going to be another week before I get to see mine....called the company and I think they might have "misplaced" my order.
Oops! :o
Well, now they say it shipped today, I should get it by Wednesday.

I am working on a DPMS and its tighter than one of my bushmasters. I was really surprised to see that.. But i bought both the DPMS lower and upper.

My second AR build was on a DPMS lower. Not a problem with it. Nice tight fits, good finish and shoots great.
I will get another one to build up for my Brother-in-laws birthday.
