Well, I have a couple questions. First, are there any books that I should get or sites on the net with good instructions for putting together a lower reciever?

Also, I bought a lower reciever parts kit from RRA to go with the RRA lower I bought from RB Precision. I've got a stock coming, so do I need anything else to put it together?

Last question, is there any paperwork I need to fill out other than the transfer stuff when I pick up the reciever from my FFL? Wouldnt want to be illegal ;)

Well, nobody replied to you and you didnt say anything so maybe you got the information elsewhere. But ill answer your questions anyway. :)

1. No need for books, unless someone has put one together here recently, the best directions for assembling a lower is on ar15.com in there informations section. You should be able to find it. Its pretty straight forward and easy. If you did lego's as a kid you are pretty much qualified.

2. If you got a CAR or M4 stock you might want to pickup a spanner nut wrench. I got mine form DPMS and they will ship it to you for free pretty fast if you order form their site. You will need a couple punches and a hammer. Regular drive punches will work(they what i have used) but people say the roll pin punches are better. Frankly once you get it started it dont make any difference. Might want some eye protection, a flashlight or metal detector when you try to install the pivot pin detent.. hehe.. ill let you find out the hard way..

3. No paperwork besides your 4473 and whatever crap you might have to do where you live. They might ask what caliber you plan to build on the lower, but maybe not in your state. They do here in oregon. ONly way you can be illegal is if your dealer screws something up and than its more his ass in a sling than you. Enjoy and good luck, its a fun little project.
