Maadi Misr 10 SA

1. Recently purchased Maadi. Pleased with the appearance if not the painted on finish. I assume from the research that this is post ban. It came used with a 30 round mag. It seems to want to jam on. Will this weapon take double stack mags or and if not can this be my problem. The identifiecation marks read on the right of the rifle. MADE BY MAADI CO IN EGYPT, IMPORTER CAL ST ALB. VT.

2. The left side reads MISR-10 SEMI-AUTO. Stamped on Reciever is CA xxxxxx

3. The rifle is a good shooter and except for the jamming problem operates extremely well. The mag is Hungarian and once the first five rounds are chambered cyles perfectly.

If it says MISR-10 it originally was a low capacity model,using single stack magazines only.

If the 30 round magazine fits in the magwell,someone has converted it to use the double stack magazines at some point.

The CA XXXXX is your serial number,You may want to edit your post and x-out atleast the last two digits.

You'll need to better describe how it's jamming:

failure to feed
failure to eject

1. Thanks for the information. The magazine was the problem. New mag illiminated feed problem. Also am purchasing a SAR-1. What are they rated at?

This would be interesting to read in the forums below, especially the Egyptian forum. Why are you hiding it up here in the technical support area? ;)

I'd rate the SAR1 as better fit and finish than the MISR rifles.
