I have a Bushmaster V-Match, I would like to purchase a M-4 type upper, tele-stock for the lower. Question, should I go Bush, or who has a good upper for the money. As far as the tele- stock goes, I have been thinking Ace as the way togo. However, I see Tapco has a 6 position for around 50 bucks. Give me your insight and opinions...... Please.. Thanks

Bushmaster is the way to go if your interested in keeping all the parts "in the family" but I believe J&T sells compariable uppers for a little less and are just as mill-spec. I have heard those Tapco stocks are good so might as well try it and save $30.

For the upper itself, certainly go Bushmaster. Their stuff is top quality forged 7075 aluminum. Some other manufacturers use castings or 6061 aluminum. 6061 is softer than 7075 (but tougher). Unless you're going to use your AR as a sledge hammer, get a forged 7075 part (Bushmaster).

For the telestock, I prefer (my personal preference) the "old style" stock that has a sling slot on the bottom AND top:
