Yeah, last Sunday when the SO and I were on the roof of the house sweeping it off, my SO heard the 'crack'. Now, as a result of this huge oak giving up the ghost, it also popped the root system of its neighbor, and another huge oak is on its way down. It's being held up by another huge oak's limbs. THIS MF'er is right over my electrical feed coming onto the property. I have to report it to the power company to see if clearing the power line is all on me or if they can provide any help. The good thing is at the time of disconnection to clear the offending tree(s), I will get another 3-phase line brought to our pole for the new shop building. We'll start by cutting away the smaller stuff that's surrounding my '65 VW shown at the left of the pic. Damn.

I used the VW to give it scale, as my SO wouldn't stand under it as it fell. I have 3 bugs, and this poor '65 (rare sliding steel sunroof model) got stepped on. It's a project even moreso now. Sunday I start cutting. You are looking across the 25 yard UCP Range.
