Help me, I'm new to ARs.

I have a Bushmaster lower (mod xm15-e2s w/ 6 position telescoping stock) that I bought on a whim. I know jack about ARs pretty much and I'm a poor college student spending every bit of my meager paychecks on taking full advantage of new firearm opportunities while I wait to ship off and train for a new MOS. I pretty much have no worries, except for what upper I should slap onto this lower for the best price.

I have looked into Model 1 Sales because of the price and it seems alot of people on here lean towards them.

This is what I'm thinking about:
16'' AR15 M-4 C.A.R. Upper Half, 5.56 NATO, chrome lined chamber & bore; 1-9 twist, A2 flashider; A3 with NM front sight & removable handle, $83.00 option; M-4 handguard, black; Bolt carrier group & charging handle, $85.00 option

I want it shootable as soon as I get the upper (meaning I want sights on the thing). I'm thinking A3 type because I wanna add a dot sight later. I don't know what "NM" means. I need to know if this thing will slap onto my Bushmaster lower no hassle, I'm hoping it will due to it being "milspec". A1 or A2 flash hider?? Why does it give an option for 5.56 NATO or .223 on the upper without the chrome chamber and bore. Oh yeah, I need a bayonet lug.. most definately.

Am I on the right track and looking in the right place? I'd appreciate any help from those who are familiar with ARs.

And any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Should/Will slap on your lower with no issues!

NM means National Match, usually in reference to sights or barrels.

A2 flash hiders have no slots on the bottom, so they don't kick up dirt when shooting prone. I prefer them.

5.56mm and .223 are close, but not exactly the same. A 5.56mm chamber will shoot both 5.56 &.223. A .223 chamber should not be used to fire a 5.56mm cartridge. I'd get the 5.56mm chamber with chrome lining.

Awesome, I appreciate the help. Glad someone would put up with the new kid. I only have a couple more questions. How is the quality of this particular product (I hear terms like "forged" and "machined" being thrown around)? Basically, I just want a good quality, reliable m4 style finished product. Everyone else and their mother gives me advice in the forms of acronyms: RRA, CCMG, ROFL, OMFG, etc. Also, I don't see any mention of a bayonet lug or "pre/no ban" configuration anywhere. I want that lug. I wouldn't care this much of it were just some Romanian AK, but I want something I can take a little bit of pride in.

Bushmaster receivers are FORGED (i.e. good).

As far as the bayo lug and/or flash suppressor, remember that as of September 14 of this year, there IS no ban, so you can have any and all evil features (unless you live in a commie state like NY, NJ, CA or the few others that have their own STATE level AWB's on the books).

Note that 922(r) (10 or less foreign parts) and NFA (machineguns, silencers, short barrel rifles, etc...) are still in effect.

The "foreign parts" rule is no worry with an AR, since that are all American made anyway.

I havent seen anybody recommend MODEL1 sales
infact I recommend AGAINST them. bad return and service to me. I lost $100 from them and they were rude.

I switched to J&T and RockRiver, much easier to deal with and the parts were finished better as well.
