I have most of the tools SO what I wanna know is .

I need to get a 20" barrel. Triangle guard rings, Triangle hand guards, FH, crush ring, buttstock , long gas tube. (might keep current PG).

Now. Would my bolt work with the new barrel? Would I need a new carrier key if mines set up for M4 style?

Just curious cause I can do it myself for the look much cheaper than buying an A1 style upper.

Speaking of the "M16 look"... I wonder if it would be legal to stamp "auto" into the appropriate location on the receiver (even though the rifle was pure semi and the selector didn't even rotate into the "auto" position)?

you might want to put a push your luck button next to the stamped auto indent.

Are you going for the M16 or the M16A1 look?

If the M16 you need another upper with no foward assist, and no case deflector built in as well as the old sights, and a 3 prong flash suppresser.

If the M16A1 you need the same with the forward assist, and a birdcage FS.

You don't need a crush washer, a lock washer will work fine. You need a light wight barrel for either. A diffirent front sight/gas block, with a round, 5 position front sight post, and of course bayonet lug. ;)
