What is my Colt post ban

I got a Colt post ban HBAR II about 8 years ago. Never really shot it and I wish to get a Bush or RR instead because : flash hider, sear block, bayonet, .223 chamber, Colt parts.
It is a 16inch flat top HBAR with under 200 rnds through it. Full buttstock.

1 - The lower is marked .223 Match Target but the barrel is marked C MP 5.56 NATO. Which is it chambered for ? I want 5.56.

2 - Whats this thing 'worth' ?

I have a similar rifle but mine is the 20" MT-HBAR. It has the same markings as yours. The barrel indicates that it is chambered for 5.56.

I paid ~$875.00 for mine and would not sell it for any less. The new Colts are more expensive.

You can have someone add a flash hider if it's important to you...not sure what value the other items on your list really add to the performance.

IMO, keep it and add a different Upper with the eVile features.

Mine is identical to yours albeit alot more rounds have been ran through it. Frankly, say what you want about Colt's but it will always be worth $100-200 more than all the others because it is a Colt. It's my favorite mare in the stable and I'll never part with it but like you I'd like to have another in no ban config and probably an ultra lite. I agree with 308. Either get another upper or pick up another complete rifle. Their like potato chips. You can't stop at just one! :p

It is chamber for 5.56 which is the military ball round but will also except .223 being the civilan standard there is a slite difference in the rounds I'm not positive in what it is, but remember reading You are better off with the 5.56. A5.56 will take .223 but A .223 can't take 5.56

I really have to agree. I wouldn't sell my AR15A3 Tactical for anything. If somebody wants it, they're going to have to deal with the widow. Like the man said; 'It's a Colt!'
