No deer hunting? I personally haven't had the time to deer hunt with the wrecked car and all, but I was hoping that someone out there nailed a deer or two? :sniper:
I acknowledge Cowdog's M17 hit earlier this season, but he can't be the only member of this site that hit something this season. :wiggle:

You know what I saw? SHIT! Literally, I saw deer pies! :D Other than that, no deer! Im going again in the doe only portion coming up in December though, so hopefully I'll kill a few to make up for lost time.

My dad bagged a coyote and just sent it off for a full mount. I some areas coyotes are common, but around here they have been slowly coming back since being hunted to near extinction a long time ago. Now it's fair game if you see a coyote and have a licence, you can bag as many as you please. They have become more and more visible and now they've started to make a dent in the local game species. Wild turkeys are notably absent when coyotes are in a general region. Anyway my old man did his part. He had this sucker nearly walk up on top of him and he had to pound it with his new remington 30.06 on the fly when it took off running. My dad isn't all that great at shooting a still target, but he can tag darned near anything running. Most of his kills have more than one hit on them. I don't know how he does it.
