Who has one of these?
Secondly, and I guess I know the answer to this but just don't understand it, what purpose does it serve if any, other than looking cool (nothing wrong with that in my opinion, btw)?
Seems to me you'd have to relearn how to shoot after installing one due to hand positioning. True?
Just researching different accessories for my first AR and haven't been able to get a clear answer as to whether or not there's any benefit to this.
Thank ya. :santa:

Theres my review of the best vertical rip on the market (not opinion, just FACT)
They server many purposes.
First, the put your wrist in a more natural alignment with your arm.
Second, they add stability and improve weapon control.
Third, they store spare parts. The Tango Down model can hold a complete M249 bolt and then some. They can also hold batteries for flashlights, lasers, and optics.
Fourth, they look sweet.
Fifth, if it was just a gimmick, I dount the military would see the need to waste money on them since they could waste money more effectivley elsewhere (like on the new Stryker APC )
YOu really dont have to learn to reshoot. Its not as stable for long distance shots, but you can alwasy move your hand onto the rail instead of holding the grip. Its much quicker for CQB and medium distance shots. I think its more natural thand having your arm twisted sideways. You do know that if you buy a vertical foregrip, you need a Rail Adapter System to atach it to your gun right? Hope my review helps.
EDIT: I have several reviews on accesories in the Revies Forum: http://www.gunsnet.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=383
I am constatly writing new ones and plan to have one up about the Knights RAS, Tango Down BATTle Grip, and the Trijicon ACOG before New Years.

if you do a lot of bench shooting, its something to think about... due to the fact its sticking out of the area that would rest on a block :) .. and Epi.. get me my toy so I can write my own reivew.... :D

The vert grip is kinda nice as it acts as a monopod if you dont have a bench mount.
You'll get your toy when I get it and my money! :D
Plus, I want a positive trader rating from the magazines and this, otherwise I'll kill your toy!
Dale, same to you biotch! :D

I see the mono-pod idea working for a tango down vert grip, but not the shorter ones.... especially if you're using 30 rounders at the range.... if you're using a 10 or a 20 I could see it working though... good idea :)
and you'll get your money.. dont worry ;)
