Is there anywhere to find a good set of directions with pictures for converting a saiga? I also, where can I find a folding molded stock that is like the one on the original 12c? I like the looks of it the best.
Any other "evil" features you guys think I should add?
(did a search btw, but all I could really find were pics of the finished products, and it just made me want to do this even more :).

I would assume the conversion would be similar for the Saiga12 as it would be for the saiga rifles. Have you checked this site out yet http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/ there is good info for the 7.62x39 and 5.56/.223 conversions. Hopefully it will help with the shotgun conversion.

In my opinion, this Pistol Grip conversion is better because it does not change the shotgun at all.

I've done 6 conversions on Saiga-12s and used the procedurers at cross-conn.com. My only real big "lesson learned" was that if you used a TAPCO SAW 249 pistol grip for an AK you don't have to cut a new pistol grip hole (arguably the hardest part of the conversion)....they are $19.95 and a regular US made grip is $15 or so.........btw...you only need 3 US parts for the parts count. But depending on which stock you use you may have to releave a portion of the stock that sticks into the tang........I used Romanian folders on the last two so it wasn't an issue. The only other thing was at cross-conn.com they drilled out the front part of the trigger guard and that weld is so hard I found it easier to split it with a cold chisel. Go check out the Saiga-12 forum at Saiga-12.com

If you have the skills, stick with the traditional conversion. The "Ace" conversion has an odd look to it IMO, but to each their own. The folding stock your looking for is hard to come by and it costs as much as the rifle itself. The SAW grip was almost made for this shotgun. It compliments it very well. The letter I read states 13 parts on an unmodified S12. Adding the PG would bring the count to 14. That's how I read it anyway. Here's something I typed up one day, but its pretty short and simple.

I've done conversions on all the Saigas. The 12ga is just a little different, but not much. The hammer needs a little "rounding" at the bottom for it to fully rotate. It's no big deal at all.
Once the trigger group is moved/replaced then a regular AK stock made for a "stamped" reciever will fit. If you want the folding stock you may need to modify the reciever, and you'll definately have to replace the rear trunion with the new one that comes with the folding stock.
I sell a Saiga conversion CD if you are interested. PM or email me any time and I'll do what I can to help.
