Value question on Pre Ban

A friend of mine has a Pre Ban Colt AR-15 Sporter in .223 with a stainless HBAR Barrel and A3 optics rail. It has fold down rear and forward sights, collapsible stock, and "claw" looking flash hider. It has hardly been shot; he has no box, and one 20 rnd mag. Any idea what it is worth? I am more of an AK guy but it is a badass gun.

This rifle sounds like it is pretty modified from original so the price will not reflect any preban pricing. Prebans seem to only be worth a premium to collectors of original condition rifles. I would price out a similar no ban rifle and discount it some due to it not being NIB. Just my .0001c after tax
