As of today, CDNN only has 410 and 12 guage left. No rifles.

$169 and $269 respectively.

Hopefully another importer will be cleared soon.

Where does it say that on their website? Their website (which is out of date anyway) *does* state they will no longer be importing Saiga parts or accessories (I can't see them importing Saiga rifles/shotguns w/o bringing in any parts or accessories for them). At another forum a poster emailed EAA who confirmed they will no longer be importing the Saiga line.

I tryed to get a magazine from EAA yesterday and they told me they have no more Saiga parts or mags and have discontinued the line.
CDNN has the last of the 12 and 410 shotguns. I got a S-12 from them last week and they jacked the price by $40 and said they were down to the last 200 guns.

i heard about them being dropped by EAA over on the Saiga-12 forums i ended up paying $57 including shipping for two 20Ga 2 3/4" mags from EAA two weeks ago.

I heard somewhere that someone else was going to import them under the trade name "spartan" not sure if its true or not.

I plan on making my own mags for my saiga 20 Aluminum bodys with stamped steel where the mag gets inserted and the catch. Most likely all steel after i get the pattern down good. But honestly thats at least 2-3 months away due to Job/School stuff.

Good riddance. Damn things were so screwed up that one was better off buying a kit and receiver to make a GOOD AK. Weld the holes, move the TG, insert some Pipe, screw with the FSB, yada, yada, yada.... a damn shame. Great example of an otherwise perfect rifle "politically corrected" to death.

for the rifles yes this is true as better could be had in same calibers from other manufacturers for marginally more but for the shotguns this statement is not true as most shotguns are not pistol gripped anyway and nobody else makes an ak style shotgun that I know of

EAA has dropped the Saiga line.

Best guess is a minimum of 8 months to get a new importer licensed, between the Russian beaurocracy and the U.S. BS it takes a minimum of 8 months to jump through the hoops.

Remington bought the regular sporting line EAA used to handle, but did not pick up Saiga. The "New" Remington Spartan line is the same Pumps, autos, SxS and O/U and SS rifles and combos that EAA used to import.

Slight price difference, I looked at an O/U a month ago for $325.00 at a shop near me. Didn't buy because I'm not all that fond of O/U.

Same shop today, same shotgun but labeled "Remington Spartan" for only $449.00.

EAA felt it wasn't worth the bother to just have the Saiga line.

People that own them love them (like me), and the rest want something that "looks high priced" at least.

But then he's talking about some other Saiga, or he lives on a different planet than I do!

I've got Chinese, Bulgarian,Hungarian and Russian AK versions, and my 7.62x39 Saiga will outshoot any of the others. My .223 Saiga is more accurate than the 7.63x39.

And all of the Saigas point faster for hunting, which is why i bought my first one.

My 12 and 20 gauge are absolutely the most reliable shotguns I've ever used, far faster action, minimal recoil and twice as much fun!

Hope they come back soon,
i might want another one, just for the Hell of it.

MAybe EAA dropped them because the ban is dead and they guess no one will want a neutered AK? They won't pick up full-on Saiga's because they don't feel that they're an AW company? I dunno.

No one's really answered (or asked EAA) as to why they dropped the line.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in my post.

My comments about Remington not picking uo Saiga, and EAA not wanting to bother with Saiga, came from EAA, Telephone Conversatiom on 1/18/2005, as I was ordering more .223 magazines.

Regards..
