Foreign Ammo Question

When I bought my DPMS lo pro it said that I couldn't use foreign ammo, it cited that the laquer gunks up the gas system. Has any one else had this problem and does that include foreign ammo made to Nato standard?

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing a tag with my A2 Classic , warning about use of foreign ammo. The Russian ammo is very dirty but hasn't caused any problems in mine, although I do run a few mags of Q3131A or XM193 afterwards and clean the gun out after each session. The Q3131A made in Israel has never caused clogging or problems.
