I have an Uncle Mikes PRO-3 Triple Retention Duty Holster. I really like it. Don't know to many that use the triple retention but for me it certainly helps me retain it and I CAN draw quickly with it.

I guess it's determined by departmental policy. I have seen some departments allow the carry of them but I haven't seen many.
