yesterday i lucked up and came across a really cool semi auto shotgun. it's a saiga 12c 12 ga with folding stock and 3 5 rd mags. i've seen the saiga with the straight stock but never one with a side folder. the 12c is in excellent condition with only a few nicks & dings. it has a scope rail mounted on the left side of the receiver but if you mount a scope rail to it you can't fold the stock. this shotgun definately has the cool factor and i can't wait until i get it to the range, this baby will become my new HD weapon. i paid 350 out the door for the gun and 25 bucks a piece for 2 extra mags. i'd be interested in learning a bit more about the 12c for those that are familiar with this firearm. things like number imported, reliablity, available accessories etc. thanks ahead of time for your input.

Is it a conversion, or a real deal marked "LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY"? Ive got a real one, traded another real one off to landshark_al, and kevin_m4 owns one, but other than that I dont know of anyone else with a real one. Fewer than 150 imported, before the sunset of the ban. Not one thereafter.

The guns are selling for over $1,000 bucks and mags are selling for $30-$35 if you can find them. You suck. :shiton: :winkkiss:

Yes, they are rare, and no more will be imported. If youre looking for something to shoot the shit out of, get a regular SAIGA-12 and convert it. Welcome to the club. The few, the proud, the 12-C owners! :happydanc

I got a regular Saiga 12 w/ 22 inch barrel a couple days ago... Love it!! Question though, the instruction book didn't give directions on the adjustable gas port thing on the front. What level should I have it at to fire 3 inch and 2.75 inch shells... Also, to adjust it to the level it should be at, should the number be at the position where the spring detent is or in the opposite position? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the club. Mine is a converted, threaded barrel 19" defense model w/ chokes. Now you need to order some 8 round mags from the UK or Finland.

My Saiga 12 has a few thousand rounds through it and it has been flawless. It will shoot any load on the Magnum setting, even cheap Wal-Mart 2.75" #8 target loads, as well as 3" buckshot/slugs. Most Saigas needs a few hundreds rounds through before they won't be so picky about gas settings. I just leave mine on Magnum.

tampstick, have you actually converted your USAS-12 mags? I sold the ones I had once I got my Izhmash 8 rounders. I didn't like that the USAS-12 mags only held 2.75" rounds and it looked like it would be more pain than it was worth to convert them to work with the Saiga. Shaving down the width of the mag tower, fabricating a front mag pivot and a rear mag catch and the fact the the USAS-12 mags are too short for the Saiga magwell so they would look weird with the gap in the front.

Another guy here from Texas with a NIB 12C with an 8 rounder and 2 fives, have not shot it. It was a lucky weekend for shotguns I guess, a 60 year old man walked in the local show carrying a Benelli M3T, I had never seen one in person, only pix. I nearly soiled myself when he said "take $700, I offered $675, and took it home. I wish I knew how many came in to the US. They are very rare anyway. Love them Super 90's. :big:

Hey guys, Do all of the real 12C shotguns on this board have the Hesse import stamps? My serial number is 01433XXX, it would be interesting to see how many serial number's we could find here,in terms of lowest-highest.
