I found this gem at my gunshop today, unfired condition, $ 259.00
I haven't fired it yet. It's the kind of heavy metal I like.

Tell me more. This looks like an exact copy of a M1935 Browning Hi-Power. What magazine capacity does it have?

It is essentially a 1935 Browning. I looked it up on Cruffler.com and
got a review and more info. Browning's 1935's went into production first
in Belgium. Other European states began producing them later.
It's a very tight and well made pistol.
I just got a 14 rd mag for it, it takes standard Hi-power mags.
I saw somewhere a pic with a 15 rd mag. Perhaps MecGar or Promag
makes them.

is it single or dbl action

There is no dbl action. It's a carry cocked and locked. All single action.
no decock. There is a mag safety, hammer will not fall while mag is out.
I guess it's a typical hi-power action. And it shoots fantastic.

Thanks for the writeup, it sounds nice. Is it smooth? What about trigger pull?
Why I'm asking, most Hi Powers cost a whole lot more than what I'm seeing these going for. If its a well-made and reliable gun, then why spend twice the $$$.
Congrats, you made a nice purchase!!

Exactly, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
FN also makes excellent hi-power's for less $$

A visit to the official Browning website really brings this into perspective. The 9mm Hi Powers START at just over $900............
Bring on the FN's!!! LOL

UPDATE
I have a local buddy who owns an FEG exactly like yours and he's bringing it to show me in the morning. He's fired his a bunch and said it's smooth as glass, very accurate, and has never given him one second of trouble. He said it's an exact copy of the Browning M1935.
Looks like I've found my future Hi-Power!!!

Hope you get to fire it a few times. It's quite a sweet thing.
I saw 2 of them at the Indy gun show last weekend, so they are
out there. $200.00+ ain't bad.
