franken krink pistol question

i chose the Ewbanks reciever for my pistol build and when i compared it to my maadi reciever it looked like a perfect match when i compared it to ohio ordnance i realized how different ohio was. well my question, i cut down the barrel of an amd 65 rethreaded it and found that the gas sytem has a 45 degree ant going into the barrel can the barrel gas port be 90 degrees into a 45 degree gas block?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Tha gas is going to follow the opening, no matter what angle it is..
