This is the EUBANKS test receiver pistol.
One of the very first EUBANKS was put to the test.
Built with RIVETS, not screws.
Test fired 500 rounds in under 15 mins (prior to refinish)

It was refinished and traded for a NIB SA93

pictures are hotlinked to high res ones.
Trying to be dialup friendly.

Ok here's my entry, an AMD65 pistol conversion project. Finish is satin black teflon Gun Kote. Receiver is a 1 mm Armory USA type 2 receiver, (global trades). Total money in the project is just under $175.

I wanted to do this totally different than the previous ones I've built. Unless you enjoy shooting an AK pistol offhand, which I don't, sandbags are the only option left.
To keep from lugging around a bunch of bags, I decided to use a bipod. An AMD-65 lower HG is used, and a AR-15 accessory rail was modified to fit.
It works very well, and carrying is made easy when the legs are folded under the barrel. The upper HG (shown in pic #3) will be a match to the lower. I'm in the process of building it now.
Now to paint it. :)

OK, I found some spare time this weekend. It's hotter than Hades outside, so some inside work was called for. :big:
I finished up the metal work, and refinished a HG set I got from Ezra Coli.
I also made a rear swivel since Hoplo74 will be a while having more made up.
The metal is Gunkoted and I used a mixture of RIT dye on the HG's. Finish on the wood is 5 coats of MINWAX fast drying polyurethane. The pics do not do the color of the HG's justice.

Just finished this one today. Modified Romy P/grip lower HG.
Another run of the mill pistol.
It's NOT a grip, it's a hand stop. Purpose is to prevent hand from sliding forward while operating in FA mode. (mentally FA, at least)

Romanian PG? Norinco upper, I love them. The fat barrel, no baonet lug to get in your way, tight very tight...All buisness. It now has a slant break welded to it and a underfolder. It's 26"+. But in MI it's a pistol. I kinda like that law.

12.5" overall length. 4-1/4" barrel.
Yugo spare parts. Built on Curtis's yugo blank.
I shortened the receiver 1-1/2"
Surprizingly accurate.
The shorter the 7.62 gets, the more fun it becomes.

Here is my Yugo pistol. It is a Will Hayden/Redstick-Redjacket build. It has been test fired with 20 rounds, but after getting the 75 rnd drum, I am very tempted just to cut loose with it.

Some guys have gotten them from Copes Distributing, Hoplo74 ( a member here has some nice ones), and this link if you want to make your own trunnion.

Depending on where you live, buying an AK pistol is just like buying any other handgun.
If you live in one of our dishonorable Communist states, it may be somewhat more difficult or impossible.

Greetings from one of those dishonorable communist states! :rotflmao: Notice the thing attached to the trigger guard? It's a "mag lock", which prevents the magazine from being detached without the use of a tool, and therefore the gun does not "accept detachable magazines" according to the CA legal definition of the term.

My one and only. Built on an AMD 65 kit. I love it, she will blast all day long and never ever had a FTF or FTE. Built it about 2 years ago and after seeing some of the shorter builds I may be tempted to do another.

Here's my latest. Romy G kit 8" threaded, full HGs, mini-74 brake.
Nose of the lower HG retainer was removed and held in place by the brake. Upper is notched for the front sight, the nose of the upper HG flange was cut off flush and held in place by a machine screw with a nut soldered on FSB.

My pistol, it is blowing off the top cover on recoil, so I either have to move the rear block forward or build a thick buffer for it. I think I will try the buffer first instead of demilling the rear pistol trunion.

Edit; The dust cover won't stay forward because the block it too far to the rear and when it fits the back it's off on the front end. I guess a custom dust cover would also solve the problem.

yeah I was commenting on slamfires and then posted mine and it throws them together.

I really like that one slamfire it looks great.

The bottom I have had for 6 + years. And yes its a hesse.

Has been confiscated by the ATF and returned a week later coz they didn't know what a "AK pistol" was.

That dealer has gone out of business since then .He retired I believe.

It is one of the originals. I used to have a Chin drum welded on it til after the ban.

Here's a pic of my newly-aquired Century-built AK pistol. I added a J-Tac brake, Mako pistol grip, UTG handguard, and an inexpensive eBay micro red-dot that people have been saying is pretty good.

Last project is to put a sling swivel on it.
