leading the blind to a concealed carry

I am sitting next to a guy who is looking for a weapon to use for a conceal carry. He doesn't really kinow too much about handguns but I am leading him into the sig 2040. He wants a glock or an xd 40 but I want him to know some of the other options that he has out there. If I could get some input from you guys it woulde greatly appreciated. There is no salary cap either.

i would go for the xd in 40 s&w, i just got one and love it. i got the 4" but if it is just going to be for ccw i would look at the sc in 3".well that is just me.
