you guys don't have a chamber brush? The AR has a unique chamber, you need these.

Cheaper than dirt has them for $4.97 plus shipping. If you don't have one, get one or 3. ;)

One thing to note is the threading of the those. The batch I saw fit only the military buttstock kit, not the commercial standard. They do work good though :)

If you own an Otis kit (only cleaning kit worth owning), it comes with a military adapter so you can use the NATO brushes in a pinch. I still think they are worthless as the damn threads unravell when you get rough with them and try to ream out the chamber. I like the Otis brushes as they are double wrapped (the twist bar in the middle goes from teh threads to the front and then wraps back around itself to the threads again) instead of going out to the end of the threads and ending. They gurantee their brushes wont unravell for 5 years I think it was. And the best part is they arnt much more (if any) expensive than the NATO brushes.

I prefer use a nylon one attached to a Dewey rod:

In conjunction with one of these:

Only one problem there Epine, if that is the chamber brush, what does it use to clean the locking lugs? Between the locking lugs and the chamber? You know, the area with the most carbon buildup. Notice the enlarged silver area of the military brush? ;)

Thats the only pic they had that had all the detail. I posted the M16 chamber brush below to shot it in some detail. They are all made teh same way, with the exception of the M16 chamber brush having the corse steel fibers for the lugs.
I see, ok nothing wrong with that then.;)

Ya know I find it ironic Ben.. that a person who brags so much about the lack of cleaning his rifle recieves... advocates that the Otis kit is the only cleaning kit worth owning :)

Might as well get it as clean as possible when I do clean it!
