Iron sight upgrade-

I am dressing up my 11 y/o granddaughter's 10/22 and wouuld like some advice on replacing that rear sight with something, maybe, like a Williams.
Has anyone here done that?

Note; I have had her shoot one of my other 10/22s with a scope and she does very well, but I'd rather she get proficient with irons..

I haven't done it but I've considered the Williams site. Sold the 10/22 before I committed to the sight swap.

The Marble or Williams folding leaf rear sight that is stock on the 10/22's is pretty decent for a non-ramp rear sight. Were you thinking of a rear receiver mounted peep, or a ramp adjustable dovetail mounted rear sight and a higher front site?
I honestly prefer that little Marble folding leaf rear sight to the crappy cheap ramps found on such rifles as my Winchester 94.

I looked over the Williams Fire Sight Peep and went that way. $47.95 for rear peep and front (not sure what) bright bead.

We'll see.
