That is pretty sweet. I don't think I would want an AMD-65 folding stock on that, though.

I've never really seen video of a fully automatic shotgun before...
Really, I haven't seen many shotguns that boast full auto fire at all.
Lets see, the USAS-12 is supposed to have a select fire version somewhere from what I hear, and of course the Pancor Jackhammer that I would love to own, too bad there are only two last I heard. Aside from that, and these auto saiga 12's, I know of no "official" automatic shotguns...

The H&K Close Assault Weapon System (CAWS) was always my favorite auto-shotgun. The Army considered buying it in the 80s. It used full-length brass shotgun shells so as to keep the plastic ones from melting. I'd post a link but you know, us low-post potential spammers aren't allowed...

I didn't realise the CAWS was full auto...nor that it used brass shells. That's actually a pretty good concept, the main problem with full auto shotguns is the shells melting...
The Pancor Jackhammer used a revolver type cylinder so it could use any standard shotgun shells without the risk of melting them. Of course, it could also use "special loads" that had no casings, but had the components placed directly into the chambers and covered over with a plastic film. Overall I'd have to say, one of the most peculiar modern weapons I've ever seen. The "cassettes" (magazines) could also be used as makeshift landmines, IIRC.
I'd like to see a real Jackhammer in action, just to see how it really behaves.
Seems real automatic shotguns never really catch on. But back when I played SOFII online, I remember using the automatic USAS-12 (even with the dorky 10 round box) would get you bitched out by anyone who fell to it's awesome power...I loved it.

The guy who built the Saiga12 auto didn't do himself any favors with the AMD-65 folding stock. The angle on that folder is more like the original AK-47 (swept down) and that doesn't lend itself to full auto nearly as well as the straight back side folders. I'd like to see it up close though to see how he put the AMD-65 lower handguard on there. That looks so cool it might be worth doing to my vanilla Saiga12.

Don't think anyone makes drums for Saiga 12's at this point...
Hell, even the 8 rounders are hard to get (and cost a furtune), but I still want to get one for my next gun (have an AK, now I need a shotgun, so I might as well get an AK-shotgun mutant). Overall, very impressive weapon. And really not nearly as big as I had thought (saw one in all black at the gun show, what a piece of work).

This month's Soldier of Fortune mag showcases a new version of an old 12 gauge auto, the Atchisson Autoshotgun. It's called the AA-12.

What's the skinny on drums for shotguns these days anyway? I don't seem to see many around. Was that part of the AWB? Is someone going to sell drums for the Saiga?

Producers are all afraid the ATF will classify the Saiga as a "destructive device" if high-cap drums become available. Too bad, I love my Saiga12. I have been toying with the idea of trying to convert an AK drum, has anyone tried?

Not sure about converting an AK drum to shotgun size...sounds like it would be easier to make one from scratch actually.
As far as the BATF raining on the parade, well, lets look at this...the only shotguns I know of that can accept high capacity drums are the Streetsweeper/Striker 12 family, and the USAS-12. They also happen to be the only shotguns I know of that are classified as a destructive device...
I heard it had something to do with the 'design of the barrel'. Yep, I'm guessing it's the drums...

The AK drums do not work as a conversion for the S12. It has been tried. Also tried are Cetme mags, and they are not completely reliable. The Knoxx drums for the Mossberg and Rem Shotty's can be made to work, but it requires cutting off the top of a Saiga mag and attaching it to the knoxx drum. Only 10 rds and there are some feed issues with it. There is a conversion for all USAS12 mags and drums, but they are damn expensive to mod for a Saiga12.
Soon, there will be fully functioning drums for these, and then shortly there after they will fall under DD. May take a couple of weeks after, may take a couple of years. I won't be the one to post pics and ruin it for all.

Esp considering the Romy side folder is a direct bolt-on with no trunion/receiver mods. I had one on my Semi S12. Now it sports a K company standard US as that wire is a cheek killer with 3" mags.

Yeah I noticed last time I went to nags head! It would have been an ordeal explaining it to the GF. "Honey can we stop here?" Why? "Um mumble mumble full auto shot..."

Too small to fit a 12ga shell in.

Really! Why isn't anyone happy with 9 rounds in a 8 round mag? Talk to Marko, I don't think $78 shipped is that bad a price - drums will sell for at least that.

I'm on the wait list with Rusmilitary for the 8rds right now. I don't personally care if there are drums or not, so long as people are not putting pictures every where of them in the S12.

well I have a S-12 and wouldnt want it to be full auto looks cool but it would be overkill .the Russians didnt make it full auto for a reason(their military version) if you cant do it in 2 or 3 rounds run like hell !!If someone wanted that more power to them! but thats just one more step closer for the BATF to make them DD.I can hear it now "But you see how easy it is to make full auto we need to ban these cop killers"
