:losingit: He says now if a person can say bench 450.lbs (less or more) and your truck has 350.lbs of torque that you could take a rope ,tie it to the bumper and have someone get in the truck put it in forward step on the gas .Beings you out class the torque with amount of weight you can bench you would actually keep the truck from going forward . I already know the answer to this.

He's either screwing with you or a complete retard. Regardless, I'd ignore the dude.

No, but now you make me feel suspicious. Check this out, even I am getting suspicious about your coworker and his suspicious questions. Is he an agent?

Is he an agent? No, just a plumber who brags about how much money he makes, but then has kids with 2 other women so that pretty much eats up his weekly pay. Also the type of guy that if youve done somthing great hes done it one step better than you,

Bet him $20 that he is wrong; maybe he'll bite off on it and get another tard to drive the truck while he bench presses it. Bring a camcorder and capture the moment of a Darwin Award winner moment of victory. :)

Avoid this idiot.
He's stupid.
He must know better than this and he's fucking with you, which is just as stupid as actually being as stupid as he seems to be, see.

Nope. Pressing is different than pulling. He would have to stand in front of the truck and push. ;)

Does a truck have 350 ft lbs of torque at the wheel? I think your confusing the engines torgue with what the truck is able to pull. Just because the engine has a torque rating doesn't mean thats all the truck has, think about the gearing and how that effects the pulling power. I think what the truck can "bench" is probably better told by it's towing capacity, which is usally in the thousands of pounds.

In short ask him how much he can bench then whatever he says tell him your car has about a hundred less ft lbs of torgue and ask him to stand in front and "bench" your car to a stop while you try to go forward. If all goes right you'll never get another question from him.

Actually I think he thinks your an idiot and probably asks you these questions so you don't bother him anymore. I think he's making fun of you...and maybe it time you relize that.
