I thought of getting rid of this gun but I like it too much. Anyway, my question is about bullet weights. According to the Taurus site you should not put anything bigger than 124 grain 9mm through it. I see 147 grain 9mm rds out there but apparently this will void my lifetime warranty. Will shooting this weight do anything adverse to my pistol? Do I run any danger of a catastrophic malfunction doing this? If I have to send it in for repair, will they be able to tell I have been shooting the higher weight?
The sights are regulated for 115 and 124 grn bullets. The 147 grn will not hit to point of aim. I just don't get why people would ever use the 147 grn rounds anyway. If you have a suppresser they may make sense, but otherwise they develope less FPE than a .38 spl.

Good read, I didn't know that. I just figured a bigger piece of lead hitting a target would have a bigger "Impact" on the target. I guess that does not mean crap if you wont hit what you are aiming at.
Ok, I have had any and every gun question I have ever asked answered on this board, I think it's time to be a paying member.
Thanks man.

i never understood why a slower bullet is better. the only reason to sell a gun is its no good or you need the money. i miss every gun that i sold...cyril...........
