I wonder if the mercury contained on a cartdrige (I know it's on the trigger) could be dangerous to one's health if it's breathed smelling the cases or simply the gunshot' smoke .
I'm ok guys....just a little curious about that.

Prolly not in a big enough amount to do anything at once, but huffing fumes of any kind isnt good for you so Im sure it could do something over time.

Just ammonia and lead...
nothing that'll mess you up too bad ;)
Only stuff I worry about is breathing in surplus ammo from the 30's through the 60's.
Lord knows what is in those things, and with my heavy caliber bolt actions, theres a lot of smoke around the action. I try to blow it away before sticking my head near.
