It just occured to me that by doing the Krinkov build as a pistol, you wouldn't have to have the 16" rifle bbl limit, or deal with SBR paperwork/tax stamp. Someone confirm that the only difference with a "real" Krinkov would be the lack of buttstock (and semiauto of course). Is that it? All you would need then is a pistol AK trunnion to closeup the area.

You are correct. And there are a number of people that have done just that. Elite Firearms, Atlantic Firearms, and a couple of others have made and sold pistols made up with krink parts. The problem is, krink parts are scarce as hen's teeth, and expensive when you do find them, so most are just using the cheap and available AMD-65 kits. The true krink parts pistols I have seen were going for $850 to $1000.

We have offer a Krink Style pistol and now a true Krink pistol, both are listed on our web site, as stated above the big problem is getting a stable source for quality Krink parts and a stable price .Our current Krinks are beig built on Yugo kits with a 1.6 mm Armory USA reciever, dura cote finish and 5 year warranty.Thank You Atlantic Firearms, llc

Thanks. I thought Krink kits weren't that bad, used to be $350? I just haven't priced them lately.

Since there won't be a stock to stablize the pistol, what caliber would be better for this purpose? I'm guessing 5.45x39.5, then 5.56x45, but I'd like to hear from those who fired 7.62x39 from Krink pistols.
