well i finally got to take out my new krinkov pistol by redjacket firearms. :hyper: unfortunately i do not have a digital camera as of yet so i dont have any pictures but if you want to see it visit atlanticfirearms.com. I took the krink to an outdoor gun range. when i arrived to the pistol range there were 4 guys shooting. I set my target up at 15 yards to start. I then removed my pistol and snapped in my clip and fired ten rounds at the target. immediately i had everyones attention. a huge ball of flame bellowed out from the gun and the noise was tremendous. one of the guys approached me and i thought he was going to inquire about the gun, but he tried to tell me that the rifle range was next door and that i needed to go over there. i showed him that the gun did not have any attachment points for a stock and that it was classified as a pistol. (i would have gone to the rifle range but targets dont start before 50 yards.) he walked away in a huff and packed up his glock and left the range. i dont think he cared for the noise. the others came by and asked if they could shoot my pistol. i told them that i had just gotten it and wanted some more play time but when i was finished they could have a turn at it. I checked my five shots and was getting a 9 inch group. I'm not great with a pistol and i have never shot an ak pistol before. i continued to shoot at 15 yards and was able to get a 5 inch group. happy with that i moved the target back to 25 yards and continued to fire another 200+ rounds. the gun never malfunctioned and i was able to hit the page (using a 25 yard slow fire pistol target) almost every time. i then allowed the other guys to shoot it and they all asked where i had got it and were in awe of it. none of them had ever seen an ak pistol let alone a krinkov. overall i am very pleased with it and it is worth every penny in my opinion. will at redjacket has done several other builds for me and they are all masterfully assembled.

Great range report. :)

I've noticed while shooting mine at the range, you either piss off some shooters with the blast and fireball, or they are in awe. Most are curious to see what the Hell's blasting away next to them. They ALWAYS want to shoot it. :):)

You can't please everyone. I don't try, I shoot to my heart's content.

im not too worried about pleasing everybody, 3 out of four were impressed. i think the other guy felt like an ass when he tried to tell me i had a rifle.

will hayden at redjacket is great to do business with. he answers all your emails the same day, takes calls, and emails a pic of the build before he ships it. they are a perfect example of customer service imo.

Thanks for the range report. Finding a place to shoot some of the more exotic guns without upsetting some other shooters is always a problem, but I figure I have as much right as anybody else to shoot what I want. In truth, the large caliber black powder guns are louder and stinkier than any short barrelled AK, so I say shoot on! The one gun I do think should be banned from public ranges unless they have individual stalls to shield blast is the dreaded fifty caliber rifle with the muzzle brakes on them. Now those things ARE painfull to be standing next to when they go off.
