Guys, if you wouldn't mind, please post some links to the C&R sellers out there. I need to order some catalogs and build a large shopping list.

I know about:

Century
AIM
Centerfire

Who else? Thanks for your replies.

Carl

Southern Ohio Guns (SOG)
Classic Arms
Samco Global Arms www.samcoglobal.com
J&G Sales
Wholesale Guns and Ammo
Interordnance

Check the cruffler site's links too.

Most of these guys are on the links on the home page of this board www.ak-47.net on the bottom right hand side. I don't have all the links handy or I'd post them.

Empire Arms www.empirearms.com
Wholesale Guns and Ammo www.gunsnammo.com
JLD Enterprises (deal through Cruffler.com) www.cruffler.com/JLD.html

Hope that helps!

Edit: REDSTAR posted while I was double-checking my links! :p

There's also CDNN. Don't have their link handy either. Sorry.

On SOG- their web site doen't have all their stuff. They have about the most C&R stuff after Century but I don't like them much anymore for their grading, false advertising and snippy little twats on the phone. However, they do have the stuff. They also charge 2% on CC's. You'll get monthly catalogs from them.

Samco has some beautiful stuff but not alot of selection. Thier Persian Mausers are beautiful. I think R Simmons got one of them.

I've heard of that one. I'll do the search.

OOOOHHHHH I can't wait to get this going. What's going to really suck about this whole affair is I'll have to have GUNS shipped to the office (BOSS HATES GUNS). In fact he put a memo in my file when I gave him a heads up on the sheriff's office calling him because I had to list employers on the concealed handgun license application. He told me he respects my right to own weapons, but absolutely fucking hates them himself, and not to carry to the office. YEA RIGHT :) I still think he's a prick for doing that to my personnel file. WTF? Should of kept my mouth shut. Sheriff never called anybody. I'm a little worried about that. All these long packages appearing in the office. LOL

Unless of course, if I do my own pickups at the UPS facility. Hmmm. ...

Sorry to break the news but unless you used the office as the place where your collecting activities will occur then you're out of luck.

They (distributors) will ship to the address on the license. The rules state you can receive shipments ANYWHERE, but almost to the letter, the distributors will only ship to the address on the license. I tried to convince them it was OK and no one wanted to listen. A few times I wanted stuff shipped to my dad's when I was out of town. You may want to try yourself though. Maybe I wasn't convincing enough.

You can either request them to ship no signature required so UPS will leave it (works good for me, I'm in the hills and its safe) and most places will do this, or you can wait for the delivery day, get your note on the door, call the number and tell them you'll pick it up. Depending on your driver, he may leave it anyway, even with a signature required stamp on it so you need to work that out. I've found it's a very good thing to have a little talk with the UPS driver to ensure he's either leave it or not leave it. I talked to my guy and he's always left them as per my request.

Now you know why no one gets my address!!! ;)

This brings up a good point of discussion. I recently moved back in June. When you change your address you have to file a 'request for ammended license' with ATF. You mail them your current license (original) back along with the form and wait about as long as the first one took to get. I still own the house we moved from so I was trying to get the distributors to ship to my new address since I still owned the property at the address on the original license. No go. I had to quit collecting from June 15th to around July 22.

Here's another option for you BigCA, if you have a neighbor you can trust and who is home during the day, you can leave a note on the door telling UPS to go to their door and they will sign for your package.

Also when I say have a talk with your UPS driver, I know that could be difficult. I lucked out and was home one time when he showed up. Before I met him in person, I left him a long letter explaining I get ALOT of boxes and that if we didn't work something out he'd be making 3 attempted delivery trips every time I ordered a box which could number in the dozens per month. I suggested that it would be easier for all concerend if he just left the boxes and I would release him and UPS from liability.

The major drawback to being a cruffler is the relationship between us and UPS. Any problems I've had since I started collecting has been with UPS not leaving boxes for me in my absence. It pisses me off especially on fridays. All weekend without my goods, knowing their sitting in UPS warehouse away from me...

I must also say my first address was in a pretty crummy neighborhood but I had a gated property, anyway, I never had a box stolen. If you have a house, you could tell the driver a good place to hide the boxes too.

Good luck. I don't think there will be any more surprises for you. I didn't think about this one before now. Your boss is a prick by the way. A note in your file regarding exercising your second ammendment rights could more than likely be a basis for a discrimination suit. I think you're better off not getting rifle boxes at work. They're about 6 inches longer than the rifle.

Whew, got a neighbor I can trust, who is always home during the day. Thanks for that information. My only other option is to be able to pick up at the warehouse myself.

Thanks.
