Dan Morris and I have a hunt planned for this Fall, I never gave a thought to my rifle because I have used the same one on almost every hunt for the last 12 or so years. It is a Savage 110 in 30-06 with my loads using a 165 grn softpoint. It is my "go to" rifle for hunting med to big game. What are some of yours? ;)

Browning A-bolt composition stalker, Redfield mounts and rings with Nikon UCC Monarch 3x9x40, .270. Light, balanced and it puts it where you want it. I use Federal Premium 130gr Nosler ballistic tip ammo.

Rew, before I got back into Mod 70's I shot that ole 110 of mine for years. Aside from the trigger, it shot impressive groups and downed what it was pointed at!Dang, I'm ready for October!

That's my Remington Model 788 with an 18 1/2 inch barrel. Chambered in 7mm-08.

It was my first deer rifle. My mom bought it for me in 1982 (I think), it was the year Remington made the 7'08 a legitimate cartridge. I sold it to a cousin when I was about 22, finally bought it back off of him about 5 years ago. It's not what I'd call a tackdriver, but it's plenty accurate for hunting. Handles like a dream. Nothing fancy, but it's my go to gun for hunting.

All good solid calibers and rifles so far. ;)
