I was thinking of doing this after the M92 Krink pistol that I'm currently doing.

I have one of K-Var's AKU-94 bullpup kits and I was thinking of making a pistol version of it. I thought that by doing away with the buttstock altogether and using one of Hoplo74's pistol trunnions in its place, I can use either an AMD-65 barrel or an AK-104 shorty barrel from K-Var for this proposed project. Instead of a regular AK lower handguard, I can use the AKU-94 pistol grip. The mag release would still be needed, but the original trigger guard can be cut away.

If any of you have ever seen a Bushmaster Arm Pistol, I think you would know what I'm talking about.

Would this project that I would like to do be legal as a pistol?

I'd say it would be a go, if like the Bushmaster pistol of years ago.

It would be legal but fugly. I had the chance to shoot one of those arm pistols about 20 years ago. It had to be one of the worst handling poorest weapons I had ever fired. You certainly would have a unique piece if you decide to build one.

Fargo,

I can't wait to see it when you get it done. It looks like it will be one cool pistol!

Fargo, was that barrel opened up to 9mm or was it turned from a blank? I have a Yugoslavian sewer pipe that would make a good project barrel if they can be bored out.

Having the buttstock section on the back of the receiver makes that an SBR, not a pistol, cut that off and it is good to go.

Here's one I'd like to see finished.
