First, what the hell are they? I want a S&W 610 and now I am hearing about moonclips and am a bit confused. Apparently, I can't just load bullets into the chamber? So are speed loaders out of the question? Thanks

just load rounds (bullets are what come out of the barrel) into the cylinder. However thay will not eject without the clips. You have to pry them out with a fingernail or push them out with a pencil. This is a S&W 625 with 6 rounds in a full moon clip.

The clip acts as a speed loader. It is faster than a normal speedloarder. The clip is used to hold rounds normaly used in autopistols ie .45 ACP, 10MM, 9mm ect. Your 610 in 10mm can also fire .40 S&W using the clips. Autopistol rounds don't have rim's they have extractor grooves the clip holds the round by the groove. Do a search for "Ranch products", they have moon the clip's you will need. Welcome to TGN. ;)
