got my saiga 12 friday. went and shot her sunday. she ran flawlessly on 1 with cheap game loads.

i learned its an earlier gun from 99. gun appears to have been fired little by the wear and impact points.i measered the barrel and it appears to be 18 and 7/16ths inches long.

here's pics of the stamps. any info much appreciated!

Nice score on one of the first to be brought in. I saw your post over at S12.com as well. All you need now is a conversion done to it and a couple 8 rds and you are good to go.

Edit: I would strongly suggest a black blackjackbuffer for it. It helped mine out a lot, especially with heavier loads and Slugs.

Congratulations! Looks like it may have once been a full choke, 22" barrel model. I'll second integratedj's suggestion of a Blackjack buffer, it's a must have as far as I'm concerned.

Later models came with bolt hold open devices and threaded barrels. I cant tell if your barrel is threaded. papa

Won't that impress the boys at the skeet range. Send some pics of you busting clays next to somebody with a Purdy or an AH FOX.
