Well I traded off my Taurus PT92 for an AK because it was just too dam big for CCW and now I'm shopping for a new pistol. I'm looking at a Glock 33 because the .357 gives me a warm and fuzzy that the 9mm just didnt give me. .40 is a possability too. One of my questions is how long is the Glock warranty? I know Taurus and Springfield have a lifetime warranty regardless of who owns the gun but what about Glock?

Well, darn. I must be the only person to ever break a Glock, and it wasn't even mine. I am not sure of the warranty on Glocks, they are fine pistols, but they are made by mear mortals. ;)

I was anti Glock for many years. I was in the Army when the Glock hit the market and some of my buddys had them. I said no way am I going to own that crap. I started with .357 revolvers then .45 auto, then it was Sig. 226, then the walther P88, now I own only two handguns a Glock 17 and a Glock 19. Not saying that there isn't any other guns out there, but there is no other gun for me. The Glock 17 is a full size battle handgun for competition, and the model 19 is my ccw. You can feed the Glock any +P or +P+ without any problems. Not all guns are rated for +P and fewer are rated for +P+.

Never had a Glock that didn't work just great. I have two .40's. A model 22 and the small one, I think it's the 27. My son has been shooting a model 30, .45cal. and has become a very good shot. Last time out, however, he noticed a few empty casings were crimped severely out of round. Only a few out of 70 or 80 rounds, any ideas what might be going on with his gun?

Hmmm you want one for CCW...while you can get a baby-glock, I've got a Glock 23...the midsize 40 cal. Shoots perfectly, and the mags are DIRT cheap from CDNN. I highly recommend one, and would stake my life on mine. It's what I keep in the bedside for what it's worth... I wouldn't worry about the warranty either, it's pretty much the best made, idiot proof (i.e. won't fumble with it while in a panic) handgun in that price range.

A compact 92 gives you the same feel in a smaller package!

i like how you can tell if a round might be chambered-the triggers forward. triggers back-empty. oh yeah, the 33 round clips (9mm) are great!

Well I decided not to Glock. I am a big Taurus fan and when I went to check out the PT145 Millenium Pro (I told my wife I was just going halfway across town just to look at it) I walked out w/it. I have yet to shoot it, I went to my favorite place yesterday and there was a big "No Shooting w/in city limits" sign posted....Phoenix is growing way too fast. $320 for the gun and a nice Phobus holster. One thing I am not crazy about is in the owners manual they say nothing bigger than 225 gr .45 acp through it.......RIGHT. I ran to Wally World and bought 100rds of Remington 230gr ammo, anyone see this as being a problem? I think they do it for a little CYA. The FFL I purchased it through is also on one of our local police departments tactical guys. He sat down and field stripped it and started naming all of the parts/designs Taurus "Borrowed" from Glock. He said the PT145 was dam near 80-85% a Glock copy. Another thing I love about Taurus is the warranty....forever and a day, just pay shipping to the repair center in Miami. Maybe Glock next time, but for today I am still a Taurus fan.
