I had the M17S apart in the shop/garage to day and before I knew it is changed. It started out like this

Looks really good! Did you refinish it in green or is that just the photo? I added holes to vent the front of mine like you did and added a flash hider. Took it to the range and had a ball!
Enjoy your masterpiece!
No, the color is the lighting, same color so far. The mount for the reddot is the same one that was in the carry handle and the cocking pice was just cut and reshaped. The flash hider is a slip over I had on hand. I plan on a rail on top for both the RD and a set of AR flip up sights and a rail on bottom for a forward grip and maybe a bipod. I might go ahead and use the paint by Brownells in OD green but I have not really desided yet. ;)

I really like the low rider look of yours!
I took the front lock nut off and installed the flash hider in it's place. Ran a couple hundred rounds through it last weekend, I did have to re-zero the scope but even with it off a little, it was shooting 5 round groups of around 2 inches at 50 yards off an improvised rest. Really happy with it!
After seeing yours in that funny light, I really think it would look great in an OD green!
