Nice! One of the nicest looking Enfields of any kind I've seen. I have none myself, but will have to get into them when I have all the Mosins and Mausers. And I mean all of 'em! :D

Very nice, original stock and all. Very nice. Wait till you shoot it, you will be impressed. I like Enfields as shooters better than Mosins and Mausers.

Very nice TheRifleman,
It looks excellent. Does it have importers marks on it? If so who brought it in? Finish looks almost 100% on the metal. Does the magazine serial number match the receiver. I see a number on the stock. Does that match the number on the underside of the stock? How many grooves on the barrel?

OK, the finish is about 95% maybe 90%. Only real finish wear I see is near the muzzle.
Importer mark: I see, near the trigger guard IAC ALEX VA. I assume thats an import mark.
Unfortunately the mag does not match the receiver. The mag number is 260573 so it's close.
The receiver and stock numbers match. That PP over 2601xx is on the underside of the stock, front handguard area. That is the number on the receiver. I don't know what the 3 digit number on the butt is. Actually, it looks like the stock is in 5 seperate pieces. Just behind the trigger guard is another 3 digit number 207 so maybe the stock is'nt totally matching but the wood all looks the same. Seems if it were not made together it would be different colors. Do those other numbers mean something else?
Barrel is 5 groove free float.
I guess I did alright for $167. delivered. I know zip about Enfields. I do know it looks 100% better than most of the pieces of shit I have seen laying on gun show tables lately, and they want $99.- $150. for what I consider scrap iron.

Hey Shawn, it's not a race brother. There are guys on this board, hell more than a few, that have more guns than I have. More by a longshot. I'm just sharing my addiction with like minded people. My wife certainly does'nt want to hear it. Hell I plan my purchases around her schedule so if there is anyway possible she ain't here when the boxes come. LOL!!!
I have a 91/30 VG cond. on the way from Samco and two M-39, a B-Barreled and a VKT in Like New cond on the way from WG&A. :D
Get that license application on the way ASAP. I really need to slow down but damn....I feel like if I wait, they will be gone. ANd they are'nt exactly producing any more Mosin's or Mausers are they?

Rifleman,
That is a beautiful rifle! Is that your first Enfield?
If it is your first, I am sure it will quickly become one of your favorite rifles!

If you're gonna post pics you might as well bend me over. Now I gotta get into Enfields. I don't post pics so I'm not an enabler. That is beautiful. Only one more French rifle, one more Mosin, couple dozen Mausers, my Yugo SKS and I was finished. Now I'm screwed again. Oh well, it's only money. Really is a fine looking firearm.

Very nice rifleman .
I am of the opinion that for the history and overall condition ,
Enfields are one of the best bargains available. ( No reason not to own a bunch ). :D
Also, a bayonet for it is de rigueur !
IAC is Interams . The reference book to get is Skennerton's

Zoauve, that is the first Enfield I ever owned. I had a hard time finding a decent one. Especially at that price. The more I fondle it, the more I like it. I can't wait to shoot it. Nest week sometime hopefully.

Rifleman, do you mind my asking which boards you were perusing to find such a beautiful Enfield ?
I've always wanted one, but like you (until now), all I have found is scrap Iron :( .

I'm a user on Parrallax's message forum and that is where I found the Enfield. Basically, I was asking a bunch of questions and a guy posted an auction he was running and said he would sell the rifle for the opening bid. I emailed him I was interested and he canceled the auction. He got his money I got the rifle.
