I recently bought a GP WASR and since then have gotten hooked. Since the accuracy on the WASR sucks and all of the AR's I have shot have had comparable accuracy to a cheep deere rifle. Anyways Im looking a Bushy A2's with either the 16" m4 or the 20" m16 style. I really dont care which gun I get but what im asking is which would be the best gun for shootin hogs at about 100-200 yards max and gettin into competition shooting?

You will need a 20" bbl if you intend to compete in NRA sanctioned events. The rifles currently allowed are service rifles which include the M1, M14, M16 and their commercial equivalents.

Probably will never compete in any NRA events just shoots and the local ranges, etc. Its main purpose is for plinking im just looking for something alot more accurate than my AK that I could shoot hogs with up to about 200 yards ( I already have a Model 700 in .22-250 with a bull barrel and leuopold for the shots farther than that). Maybee what i mean to ask is there a HUGE difference in accuarcy between the 16 and 20 inch barrels.

Well most people prefer a carbine in 3 gun matches and the like but thats pushing the stopping power at 100 meters on a hog. Go around your local comps and see what the AR guys recommend.

Id say pick your poisen. 16" or 20" should do what you want just fine. 20" should give you slightly better accuracy as well as power but 16" would git'r done too.

Well, I took the plunge on the M4A2. My dealer says that i should have it by thursday at the absolute latest. Now if i could only get my dad into it (hes the hardcore bolt action type with custom made mauser action guns) But with him buying my Ak and now the AR (im 16  ) he always seems to be wanting to come out to our range with me and get a few rounds in :handgun:
