Hello everyone. Was just looking around on gunbroker and found an interesting muzzle attachment.

I was wondering if this would work on a SAIGA12 that does NOT have barrell threads. If it does, please let me know.
My SAIGA12 has an 18 & 1/16" barrell.
IntegratedJ, im looking at you on this one ;)
Thanks!

It will work, make sure you locktite the set screws down though. Only problem I have with them, I the outside diameter of the barrel changes the longer you go out, and I am not sure what length barrel was used when this brake was designed, It will fit, but it may be either a tiny bit loose until the screws clamp down, or it may be really tight. I say either go for that, or go to the S12 forums and get one of these.

from Johnnymceldoo, they were $70 shipped last I saw for the set screw version.
or one of these, model SP-12

That guy makes a pretty good product. I picked up the comp style muzzle attachment that he makes for the S12 and put it on mine. The fit is a little loose but it uses eight set screws to lock it down and if loc-tite is used that thing is not going anywhere.
After I put it on, I went out and put about 40 rounds of Wolf 00 buck and 20 rounds of Winchester slugs through it and it didn't budge. Here's a pic of it on my S12 next to the first shotgun I ever owned.

Nice Shep! My new vented gas tube cover would look good with that muzzle attachment. Hey is that a 410/20? Must be nice to be able to post pics.
<edit for bad typing>
Thanks Cobra! Not as sexy as your AKS-12 but I like it. The other shotgun is my old Savage that my dad gave me for christmas when I was twelve. Top barrel is a .22 mag and the lower is 20 ga. Great little rabbit and quail gun.
Saw the vented cover you put on. Looks good and I may have to try it.

Thanks Shep she does turn some heads alright. Your's is cool too. Would you mind doing me a favor and measuring how high that Krebs front sight is off the barrel? If you don't mind I need the distance up to the top of the sight pin in it's lowest and highest setting. I understand if you already have it zeroed in you don't want to move it. Just a close guess will do. Also how high is it to the top of the "hood". It looks like it's taller than the rusmilitary sight that I have, which is too short to work with an upper handguard. Thanks
Cobra,
Height from top of the barrel to the top of the sight post is approximately 1.375". This is at the lowest setting which puts it dead on at 50 yrds. Adjustment range is approximately .125" making the heigth of the post at max adjustment 1.500". Top of the "hood" (it's an open topped hood just like the standard AK) is approximately 1.640".
The Krebs sight uses a standard AR sight post with the spring loaded detent. It's not a bad sight but i think Krebs screwed up and made the front sight to tall. As I said above I'm set dead on at 50 yards with the post bottomed out and that is after I took about a sixteenth of an inch off of it.

Cool man that sounds like it could be just right. The rusmil sight is just over 1 1/4" to the top of the hood and the pin adjusts from about 7/8" all the way up to 1 3/8".
Thanks for the measurements.
