K31 Bayonets you ask! Well I've been trying to get a deal going to get a couple dozen over here. Sadly nothing much has happened on this. Now after 9-11 attacks . . . . . who knows what sort of BS one has to go through to get them here.

The bayonet is a long flat blade type. I need to take a picture of one so I can post it when I get around to doing the K31 Pick of the Week thing.

Expect to pay $80+ bucks for a blade if you can find one. Very rare here in the US. Not so bad in Switzerland. I think there is a web site called www.Swissrifles.com they have a forsale forum there. I don't go by much because I keep waiting for my freaking gun to get here from Switzerland! Been trying to import it since March this year. Sometimes it drives me nuts waiting for it to get here. (Sigh!) I'm just glad I had a chance to shoot it over there.

I guess I'll bug my Swiss contacts again about the bayos and see if they'll give me a straight answer.

http://www.swissrifles.com/bayonets/ Try this link to go look at Schmidt Ruben Bayonets. The styles that are right for your K31's are the 1918 and to a degree the 1914 Pioneeer sawback. BTW I had a guy give me one of these when I was over there. He used it to dig up rocks and roots in his garden. Despite the mistreatment, it isn't in too bad a condition. Bayonet scabard is leather and is metal tipped. He said it was his Grandfathers.

I also have the 1918 serial numbered to the rifle bayonet here. Now if the freaking rifle would just show up! Grrrrrrrr!

Yes, I'll keep one and all informed if I should get the bayonets in. After all I wouldn't be bringing them in because I want 20 for my own collection! LOL! In other words I'm looking to sell em IF I ever get them here! ;)

Any interest in cartridge boxes or the stripper clip things?

pro2nd,
I think you got a deal on a mag for $20. I've never seen one for sale in the US. Come to think of it I've never seen a spare mag even in the store in Switzerland that's holding my rifle for me. I never thought to ask about extra magazines. Hummm . . . guess I need to ask that question too!

TheRifleman, pro2nd and ED4,
I can't say for sure on the price of 1918 bayonets because I need to find out what I'm going to get charged by them and then the transportation charges. I'm just hoping that I don't have to get a form 6 for a knife. I can purchase kitchen knife sets that have bigger and meaner looking blades in stores over there and bring them back or get them shipped with no big hassels unless it's too much money. Then you have to declare it to customs. Anyway, I'll post here if and when I ever get any for resale.

I'll say this. I did pick one up for a buddy I shoot with and I charged him $60 for it. He was damend glad to get it for that price as the only ones he's ever seen were listed at $80 to $85 each. Problem is that guy never had them. So after having a K31 for 2 years and no blade I was able to get him 1 in Switzerland in January this year. Hopefully I can hook you guys up and make a buck too!

Yea I got real lucky on the mag it is dinged up and rusted but should clean up nice I dug thru a barrle of mixed mached mags and happend across it I also found 2 svt 40 mags but he knew what they were and would not sell them. I have seen k-31 mags at the machinegun shoot the guy had three and wanted 100.00 each for them people on the swiss site are selling them for 60.00 to 85.00 each.

Schuetzenman I'd be interested in any kind of accessories you can get for them including a manual.

Oh yeah the cheaper the better. :D

Actually lower prices makes me buy more.

ED4 . . . . . doesn't it work that way for all of us? ROFMALO!:D ;)

On a Manual, remeber it will be in German or possibly French. Switzerland has peoples that speak one or the other but not both. Those individuals are less prevalent but there are significant numbers of them none the less.

So true.

I think I spend too much anyway.

On the manual language doesn't matter to me. It would be to keep with my rifles incase I decided to sell at a later date as a package. :D
