quick question

is NATO .308 the same as 7.62x51, as to .308 winchester?

If I'm not mistaken the commercial .308 is a little hotter than milsurplus stuff...Essentially yes it's the same, As .223 is to 5.56x45....

If I am recalling correctly,externally they are the same ,the 7.62 Nato has a smaller internal volume do to it's thicker case wall.

More important question - Do they interchange? Yes.

I have a modern .308 but quality and consistance would seem to be lacking if I were to try out this stuff from thne web, as well as power.......I was hoping to get some cheap target grade stuff, just a few thousand rnds to tear up the field with.....
