This thread should be for anyone with ideas for a logo.

There was some mention of the fact that the original design I did was "nazi-like", so I ditched it. :)

Here's a look at a newer design:

What do you think?

Ideas and comments are always welcome. :)

Here's an idea for the STATE badges:

LOL. I posted a topic similar to this one. Moderators can delete it is they want to.

OK. How is this?

Does anybody have the free time to do me up a Michigan one like this? I really really suck with graphics and such. I would like a Michigan one for use on a flier for distribution.

I am currently working on ALL 50 states. Give me time and I will email them to interested parties. :)

Keep it up. I have been spreading links to this page all over the place, and as soon as it is moving with a set date, I will be Flyering every shop, range and gunshow.

I like em all so far.

I do think that a state affiliation component is a good idea - with national standard otherwise.

videodon's is very striking - I think I'm personally leaning that way right now...

What about a reference to restoring the 2nd Amendment? "taking back the constitution" is good, but kind of general don't you think?

Way to go guys!!!

How about putting the state coat of arms on the shields instead of the state outline. or even a combo of both?

Here's another one that I designed...

http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//3268/24209JPG_MASTER-med.JPG

I can do all 50 states if there is interest.

Just let me know.

BTW - This is a low-quality JPG. The original is a 24-bit high quality BMP. The JPG is just for show and for those dial-up users.

These would make nice placards at rallys. :)

I dig it CelticDragon. Can you do it without the gradient on the lettering? Or maybe without the gradient on "Supporting the 2nd Ammendment"?

Well as soon as a decision is made on what to go with someone please let me know ASAP. I need the Michigan one so I can start looking into flyer's, stickers, and so on.

CelticDragon's pic would be GREAT for stickers, patches, and so on but for flyer's and such I would go with V's do up.

I will get all 50 State Badges made up tomorrow and post here that they are done. Don't want to take up too much of GNS server space, so I will email the individual high-quality 24-bit BMP's out. :)

Here is the newest design...

I think it looks better. It sleek, simple, yet gets the message across.

Questions and comments are welcome.

BTW - I have ALL 50 states done in this new design, so if you want one for your state, please PM me with your email and what state you'd like and I will get it to you ASAP.

You know what would be cool? The American flag with the rattlesnake in the center, but instead of the traditional rattler pattern on its skin, it would be the U.S. Constitution and read "Don't Tread On Me!" above the flag. Maybe, 11 hours into my shift, I'm getting overly creative. It looks cool in my head though.

how 'bout this as a patch/bumper sticker?

All done in microsoft word and paint.
I got a slightly higher quality pic saved.

Glad to see others with ideas here, although I think we need to stay away from any gun images in our logos. We don't want to come off as a bunch of gun nuts. :)

It's a nice idea though, just not for our purpose.

Keep those ideas coming.

For the Pennsylvania design, I would suggest having a blue keystone as the background for the coat of arms. For those who don't know what a keystone looks like, just look at pics of old Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives and you'll see the keystone logo on them.

Change the "taking back the constitution" to "restoring the 2nd Amendment" and decide upon a state designator - state flag, seal, etc.

Then, post a poll to vote on three of these. Set a date to count the votes.

I recommend simplicity - this will need to be reproduced in many forms and simple, impactful designs are more easily remembered.

Look at successful comercial products like COKE, Campbell's Soup, Cheverolet, etc. Simple, distinctive, easy to recall and associate.

Red, white and blue are probably the best colors for the inherent positive message they impart.

Here is what I think our MAIN logo should be:

http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//3268/2420921st_CP_Bumper_Sticker_Design_E-med.JPG

As far as the state designator, it would be simpler to have the silhouette to keep things simple.

http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//3268/2420921st_CP_Florida_Chapter-med.JPG

The state flag/seal would be great, but if we want to keep things unified for our purpose, we really don't want these to be complicated in design for media purposes.

What do you think of putting the state outline in the logo?

Example:

Also, what do you think of saying "taking back OUR Constitution"?

"Restoring Our 2nd Amendment" A good idea adding "our" IMHO.

Both logo and chapter logos look great to me!

I am harping about the "Restoring Our 2nd Amendment" rather than Constitution becase it is more specific and focused to our goal.

I know there's room for it there but
it gets a little busy IMHO.
Slogan works though.
