This is just a thought..

What about running a add in your local newspaper.. With just a breif idea of our intent.. Hold a local meting at a restaruant or the like, and discuss with anyone that show about our idea and purpose..

ADD:

Attn gun owners, hunters and sportsman. Tired of overreaching laws that are hurting your hobby? A new national organization is forming branches in our area. If you are interested in preserving frendom, attend the 1st meeting at (insert location here).. Blah blah blah..

I'm sure someone can write it better than me.

I was made aware several years ago, to a group set out to change laws in my state.. It drew a pretty good crowd.. This way we could atract members that don't use the internet, or never been to a gun board.. There are tons, I work in a gun shop and am all the time telling guys about ertain sites they never heard of..

Thought process ending..hehe

Not a bad idea but remember how difficult it is to get people to attend anything, no matter how important it is to them. Most of our supporters are going to be blue collar, middle-class citizens just like most of us with very busy schedules. How about the ad would direct them to the website. I can't think of anyone who doesn't have at least access to a computer to check out the website. Let's keep it simple stupid for now.

If you REALLY want to get the word out...rent a billboard in your area along the interstate...

O.S.O.K.

These are great ideas - hold on to these. Once we get "established" we will be looking for people to do exactly this sort of thing.

As to billboards, that is an excellent idea and I would like to think that there is a billboard company out there that is pro-gun and would donate a few boards for maybe a month ahead of the rally date.

I can help put ads in the local papers around here.

Sounds like a good idea, directing them to the website.

Another good reason for a dedicated site for our cause.
