Hello everyone.

I am looking for a trunion for my pistol build. Im using a Ewbank Gen. 2 receiver on a Romanian kit from Bocefus.

I have nearly everything covered and ordered EXCEPT for the rear trunion.
I would really appreciate getting one that is already drilled and tapped to accept the standard 10-32 screws used in screw builds, but I will settle for anything that any of you might have.

Please PM or email me with any questions/comments/suggestions on where to look.
Also, I posted this in the "Trade" forum.
I'll trade two like new (but looks 100% new to me)30rd 7.62 Bulgy waffle mags + cash for a pistol trunion.

Thanks!
~Zach

All you need is an AMD rear trunion and a little welding or brazing time.
I have seen complete stocks with trunnion in the 4sale forum for $25.00

Zach,
Have you checked with hoplo74? He had a batch of trunions made up recently. 5 minutes of time to tap, and you're ready to go.

SEX???????
I seem to remember something about that.......let's see............SEX.......
..........nope, can't recall what it is. :dunno:

IJ,

Thanks for pointing me in his direction.

However, he gave me an asshole response that "screw builds" are hack gunsmithing jobs. LoL, my two other screw builds are performing just as well as my other rifles.

I wrote him asking if he had any trunions left to sell, not his opinion on pistol builds.
Im sure he is a nice guy to some ppl, but a real fuck off if its not a "100% pure" riveted AK build.

Heres the first email I received:
"I'm currently out of pistol trunnions, we make them ourselves.
I do not and do not intend to offer any which are tapped.
I consider screw builds to be "billy bob" hack gunsmithing.
At AZEX we do things correct and proper.

D."

EDIT TO ADD: Just received another email from him. What an asshole! :gofuckoff
"As in the FAL building world, the gunshows will soon be overflowing with "good enough" builds that dont work, or can't be made to work.
There's a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things. Short-cuts and half-assed measures make you and subsequent shooters unsafe.
No one really thinks about that they just want something cool, as cheap as possible.

D.
AZEX"

Some people are brain locked, or even brain dead.
I'll put any of my "HACK" gunsmithed screw built AK's up against his ANY day of the week.
I love to see people eat their words.

So he refuses to sell you his product, just because he can't dictate how it will be used???
What a way to run a business.

As for "good enough" builds showing up at gunshows, he needs to look at the products some of the 07's are turning out. It's a toss up as to whether they're 100% functional and reliable.
When you build for yourself, there is quite a bit more concern for your safety as well as others. You build it right, and if it doesn't function properly, you don't dump it on the general public as a quality piece.

His company may do things "the correct and proper way", but I sure as hell will never know. Never ordering from or even considering that rag mop company.

On another note, I contacted Hoplo74 for a pistol trunion and am currently awaiting a reply.
Also, how well do the AMD65 trunnions work for pistol trunions? Ive seen some pictures of modified amd trunions and I must say, it looks like something I could easily pull off.
