not restoring,i bought a used barrel had it cut to 18.5"put in a choke for 00 buck.got it back and test fired a box of shells.
now its going to Glen Riddle who i saw a post on refinishing to get it parkerized.
its my Grandfathers who has passed.it does not need to be restored as my Grandpa bought it new and didnt use it much.

Make sure you post a picture after it's parkerized. I've never seen a Remington Model 11 with such a finish.

Very nice. I have one that was my grandpa's too. It needs new furniture and bluing, but I may wait to see how the park turns out on yours. I haven't touched it, as I'm trying to decide to keep it original or something I can take out and waterfowl hunt with in fields on nice days. That would mean screw in chokes, and I still can't use steel through it.
Keep us posted, you may have just given me the motivation to start on it!
